Call for Vendors / summer 2008 show
Bazaar Bizarre Cleveland
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Greetings!
We're excited to announce that Bazaar Bizarre has been asked to participate in this summer's Ingenuity Festival July 25-27! This is a call for vendors and a reminder to put us on your calendar if you want to attend. Scroll down for more information on applying -- it's slightly different than last time -- and for everyone else, we'll see you at the show! Thank you for supporting independent artisans for the past several years at BazBiz!
How to apply
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you haven't attended Ingenuity Festival in the past, here's more information. Ingenuity is an arts and technology festival, so we will be giving priority to vendors who either use interesting technology in their work or can demo something appropriate. As always, we're looking for the best, most interesting, handmade, hands-on items. Don't despair -- your work doesn't need to require a 9-volt battery to get in!

Instead of the online application form, this is what we need from you. Please email cleveland@bazaarbizarre.org with the following information:

Name:
Business name:
Email:
Website:
Phone (preferably cell, for contact day of show if needed):

Then, answer these questions as best you can:

What technology do you use to create your work? For example, if you make 1" buttons, you use a button press -- if you screen t-shirts, you use a computer for design work and a silkscreen to print...etc.

What would be interesting to an outside viewer about creating your work? Can you (would you?) successfully demonstrate it in an outdoor setting?

Send these answers, with the subject line "Bazaar Bizarre summer 2008 application" to cleveland@bazaarbizarre.org

Show info / booth cost
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The festival "campus" is located in downtown Cleveland around Playhouse Square Center. Performance and exhibition areas will be created in areas all around the center stages. Bazaar Bizarre's area will be outside.
The show is July 25-27, 2008. Festival-wide hours are:
Friday: 4pm - 1am
Saturday: Noon - 1am
Sunday: Noon - 6pm
We are waiting to hear if we will be expected to stay open until 1am -- I doubt it! More likely BazBiz hours are noon-9 on Sat and noon-6 on Sunday. This will be updated as we learn more.
Table costs for the show are $125. This includes one table and two chairs. There will be an option to rent EZ-ups if you need them, but we highly suggest bringing your own as the rental costs are prohibitively high. Please direct any questions to Shannon.
