Hi all,

My name is Cosette, although most people call me Cosy. I'm a fiber artist who spends most of her time knitting, spinning, designing, and dyeing. I hawk my wares on-line in my etsy shop and at craft fairs of the indie variety and have a book - Knit One, Embellish Too: Hats, Mittens, and Scarves with a Twist.

I also teach spinning and knitting at Knit One.
Wool might just be my favorite thing and I talk constantly about it here.

Heya Folks,

I'm Cheryl, and I have no etsy shop because I don't think I have anything to sell other than dust bunnies, and I'm a local information designer and mother of two, soon to be three, who is also addicted to crafting, concentrating on knitting at the moment, and manages to blog about it occasionally at http://itstwoam.wordpress.com.

Very excited to be part of this forum here... can't wait to hear from/about more of you!

HI there-
I am Jennie, and I am teaching artist, who also loves to craft. I am currently smitten with fused glass. I love color, so I will work in nearly any medium where I can play with color- painting, glass, fiber art, mosaics... I teach a lot during the day, and I am a mother of two, so I am craftiest at night when the kids are asleep!
I have an etsy shop and my own website

I'm Jenn, and I like to do everything.

Most of what I do is related to yarn or fabric. I knit, crochet, sew, spin, embroider, etc.

I also like to plant things and weed. I like to take many pictures.

I'm a member of the Etsy Pittsburgh Street Team. I handle some of our membership info. I also run our blog.

Hello! My name is Kelly. I'm not quite as "Spooky" as my crafting name states, though some of my products are from time to time. I've been crafting for a lifetime, but only selling for the past year and a half. My husband came up with the name, Spooky Kelly, when he purchased my web domain name for my Valentine's Day present. It's fun when my customers try to determine if I look spooky or not.

I specialize it lots of sewn products such as: reconstructed rock tees, original handmade clothing, patches, slap bracelets, furry legwarmers, and arm corsets. I'm like the "Hot Topic" of the DIY crafting scene. Yep, I've come to accept that. LOL.

I'm a 2nd grade teacher by day, and crafter by night. I live with my husband, turtle, and crazy little dog, Chalupa.

I have a website:

and an Etsy page:

Zippull/I Made It! Market

Postby Zippull on Mon Aug 18, 2008 3:16 pm

Hello -
I'm Carrie and I have been crafting forever. I started with seed beads and macramé and moved on to FIMO and metals tried out glass bead making and moved on again from there.

I can be categorized as a "collector" as I use every Michael's and JoAnn's coupon I can find to horde random supplies "just in case". I love all types of craft and was gifted with a wonderful work station for my birthday a few years ago from my husband. He sculpts and paints miniature figures he uses in games and I craft next to him and that's our favorite past-time.

I started the I Made It! Market in May 2007 with Nina Barbuto to provide more opportunities for all of the lovely, talented artists and crafters in Pgh so we can all get right into Pgh's communities and pimp our wares :) or just make connections.

Greetings all!

My name is Jen and I'm a friend of Carrie's. I was really excited to hear that this forum was being started up. I've been a member of another site but it's national. A good site in and of itself. But, I was very happy to see something with a more local connection!

As far as crafting goes, I knit quite a lot and within the last year I've become really interested in making jewelry. I don't have an online store just yet, but I got my feet wet at my first I Made It this summer and I'd like to venture into that a bit more...well, as soon as I come up with a decent display. :P

Anyway, I look forward to getting to know everyone!

Jen xx

Hi everyone!

My name is Ames (well technically Amanda...), I've been crafting my whole life as well but don't really sell anything. I love making things, especially for gifts, and I'm always game to try out new crafting methods. I just got into knitting this year and it's my latest addiction. I'm a web and Flash developer by day, and play video games and craft by night. I'm glad to have found you guys!

Oh, and you can find my blog here: http://yaypie.wordpress.com/

Postby Lynne on Thu Aug 21, 2008 9:47 am

Hi all! My name is Lynne and I am also a craft addict:) I've been making stuff with my hands since I was a kid and loved the thrill I got when someone bought something I made. wow! I paint and make beads and pendants with polymer clay and I sew too. Right now I'm making jewelry inspired by my love of nature and having fun. I take leaves from my yard and press them into clay and bake and paint them and use them in my jewelry. I love to turn flea market finds into something new using my giant stash of charms and buttons and other junk drawer treasures.
I've been on a crafting marathon lately and have added many pics to my flickr page http://www.flickr.com/photos/charmedbynature/
I also have an etsy shop www.charmedbynature.etsy.com.
I have a blast doing local craft shows with my pgh etsy street team friends.
The new generation of crafters I have met are an amazing gift of inspiration and fun to me. Plus they help figure things out like what steam punk and geekery mean :)

I am married to a very patient and supportive high school teacher. Steve and I live in the country where we grow vegetables and enjoy the antics of our six active boys.

oh, hi. i'm Lz ("ells" but people who know me from online often imagine an i in there and call me liz. i'll answer to anything remotely close.)
i've been throwing glitter around as long as i can remember.
i am currently owner of Your Mom's (a brick and mortar store), head cheerleader of the etsy pittsburgh street team(love them so! you can join too! http://pittsburgh.etsy.com ), CEO of my crafty microbrand (LzRocks! http://octarine.etsy.com ), and lover of parentheses (indeed). i am trying to blog more often at http://lzrocks.blogspot.com
you will almost always see me with ej because we are bestest friends and he helps me out a ton. he is crafty too but shyer about it.

lately i have been wire wrapping, resin casting, glass fusing, flameworking, general jewelry making, spinning, knitting, woodburning, papercrafts, and more...and that's just within the last month or so ;) i'm dying to get back in a pottery studio and i'm thinking of trying out the program they have going in braddock. i like to do a little bit of everything. i am way behind on taking pictures of things i make.

i attended the first craft con in pittsburgh, led a panel and spoke on another at the second craft con in san francisco, and am helping wherever i can to plan the next craft con, location tba. everything was recorded this year, so you can hear me speak (eep!) once everything is uploaded here: http://craftcon.org/craftcon08/ ej and i traveled back to san francisco to promote craft con at maker faire and soaked in enough inspiration to last a year.

i'm working on the details of a business plan for my dream retail space/workshop.

i think that is more than enough about me. if there is something i can do to help you out, just ask! :)
