Thanks, all! Because I leave tomorrow, I don't think I'll be able to pick up any of the aforementioned items before leaving. I'll definitely be back in Pgh within the next two months, though. Maybe I'll do some trading when I return? Anywho, I'll be sure to keep updated via this website, etc. while I'm away. Please feel free to add me on Facebook (Jessica Gold) or e-mail me (gold.jessica@yahoo.com) at any time.

Thanks!

an idea...

Postby eeni-ren on Thu Dec 04, 2008 1:12 am

Hey - why don't we have a swap party??
This could be a chance for everyone to clear out some of their old un-needed (and unloved?) crafting supplies, thus making room for new and exciting things!

We could host it at someone's house (I would be happy to offer - I'm in Squirrel Hill), and we could set everything up to display, and maybe have everyone draw numbers to see who gets to pick first, to keep it fair...?

Could be really fun!

I'm ALL about that! I have a ton of stuff I'd like to see go to a good home! I also tend to come across a LOT of unloved crafty stuff in my job, since all I do is salvage and resell. I wouldn't be able to host a swap, since my entire apartment is probably the size of your kitchen, but I'd def. help organize/promote :-)

so let's get it on the calendar.

i know that we had been throwing around the idea of a post-holiday de-stash party. and it seems like there is some interest.

are there any dates in January that would work for people?

dates

Postby eeni-ren on Wed Dec 17, 2008 2:46 pm

Ok, just to throw some dates out there:

Sunday, Jan 4th - early evening
Sunday, Jan 11th - afternoon / evening
Saturday, Jan 17th - afternoon / evening
Sunday, Jan 18th - late afternoon / evening

I'm happy to host - I'm in Squirrel Hill; or it's totally fine if we want to do it somewhere else.

11th sounds good

Postby eeni-ren on Tue Dec 30, 2008 12:17 pm

The 11th sounds good to me - will we be able to get enough people by then? (Maybe do a mailing, since folks may not be checking the forums...?)

Yay for the new year clear-out! :)

hey. we're not quite sure about the date for a few reasons. 1 - it's coming up quickly, and it might be hard to promote. 2 - it's the first playoff game for the steelers. we don't want to "compete" with the game and think it might be better to do on a non-football date...

we'll keep you posted. and yes, we will certainly do a newsletter about the event as well as other promoting. i'm sure we'll rope you in when we can!
