Beginning Knitting - January

Postby cosy on Sat Dec 27, 2008 12:08 am

For those interested in just starting to pick up the needles – or who have picked up the needles before, but are still a bit shaky. The class will cover how to get the yarn on the needles, the knit and purl stitch, and binding off. If you’re a bit beyond that, we can cover how to recognize stitches and fix your mistakes.

Materials needed:
Smooth yarn of any sort, although I recommend wool. There are several very affordable wools that are $6-8 for a skein.
Knitting needles in recommended size for yarn.

I am available to meet people at Knit One in Squirrel Hill at certain times during the week. Although I recommend just learning to knit this first time, you can also consult with me to plan a project – like a hat, scarf, headband, tea trivet, coasters etc.

Location: my house in Squirrel Hill. [address provided after registration]
Time: 7 - 9 pm
Date: Wednesday, January 21st

Cost:
$15 for members of the PCC
$20 for non-members

*Class is limited to 4 people. Please RSVP with your name and contact information to pghcraftcollective@gmail.com.
